Curried Beets

3 large peeled beets cut into fairly large chunks

1 Tbsp ground cumin

1 Tbsp ground tumeric.


Microwave all ingredients together until almost completely cooked. To finish, transfer the spiced beets to a skillet with Ghee* (preferred). Substitute butter or peanut or vegetable oil if necessary. Fry until the beets start to brown a bit. Serve and enjoy.

* Ghee is Indian clarified butter
