How Community Supported Agriculture Works

File 505Members purchase a 'share' of the farm in advance of the growing season.  This fee helps support the costs of running the farm and in return members visit the farm weekly from June through October to pick up their share of produce. 

Share pick up hours for the 2012 season are:

  • Mondays from 1:00pm - 6:30pm
  • Tuesdays from 1:00pm - 6:30pm
  • Wednesdays from 1:00pm - 6:30pm
  • Thursdays from 1:00pm - 630pm
  • Fridays from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm

Shareholders select a pick up day when filling out the agreement form and we ask that folks stick to that day when possible.  You can switch your day any time during the year should the need arise.  If you go on vacation or are unable to pick up your share for any reason, you can assign your share to a friend or neighbor for that week.  Please have your friend or neighbor check in with the farm staff when they come to pickup your share.  Extra produce that is not picked up does not go to waste - it goes to The Food Bank of Western Mass for distribution to folks in need.
