2 lbs. beef brisket
2 envelopes Onion Soup Mix
1-1/2 quarts water
6 small hakurei turnips, cut into wedges
4 medium potatoes, halved and quartered
2 medium carrots, halved and quartered
1/2 medium cabbage, cut into wedges
Combine beef, Onion Soup Mix and water in heavy stockpot. Simmer covered 1-1/2 hours. Add turnip, potatoes and carrots. Cook covered, 10 minutes. Stir in cabbage and cook an additional 10 minutes or until beef and vegetables are tender.
